Export documents

Depending on the operating system and device used, there are numerous options for exporting documents, i.e. saving them on the local device.

Export via double-click/touch

With this export, a file can be exported from a file list to a local data storage, provided this is technically possible.

   Navigate to a file list, for example a folder in a vault or a search result.

2. 2.

   Double-click on the file name with the left mouse button. Alternatively, quickly double-tap the file name with your finger.

3. 3.

   The file is then offered for saving on the data storage.

The subsequent behavior depends on the different options and rights of the operating system.

Export via drag & drop

With this export, a file can be dragged with the mouse or by touch onto a data storage or directly into an application.

   Ideally, open the storage target beforehand, for example the folder of a data carrier or the desired application.

   Switch to the app.

3. 3.

   Navigate to a file list, for example a folder in a vault or a search result.

4. 4.

   Place the mouse pointer on the image of the file type of the relevant file(s) and drag it to the storage destination while holding down the left mouse button. Alternatively, on a touch-sensitive screen, place your finger on the image of the file type, hold it down and drag your finger to the storage destination.

There are numerous combinations of operating system, authorizations and the target of the drag & drop process for this procedure. This behavior cannot be influenced by this app and its success can vary.

Export via “Share”

The app’s share dialog allows you to export a file in a variety of formats. Information on this can be found on the Share documents page.
